Goldendoodle Puppy Parents Beware:
Friends and Family… Please beware of kennels and/ or amateur breeders who pretend they have foster or “guardian” homes for all their many dogs…
Beware of those that have multiple websites set up by their family and friends …to deceive you… This is the most artful deception– and it breaks my heart to see them planning more litters, when the puppies they have are not even adopted…
To me.. these sorts of pranksters are really nothing more than just puppy mills. They claim to have AKC registered dogs to compete with those who actually do, and yet they are not AKC (ask them to show the registrations as they should be proudly presented on their websites if so).
They claim to have health testing but this is very expensive for 10+ dogs (ask them them to prove it) .
If they claim to give personal attention and socialization to each of their 30+ puppies.. well the quality of what they are providing it is just not up to standard because it is impossible to give personal attention to 30+ puppies at a time.
Please choose your breeder carefully and don’t promote the puppy mills, or amateur “back yard” breeders, who are popping our of the woodwork every day– just pouring out puppies as fast as they can and are clearly doing so for monetary gain.
They know they are under scrutiny and that is why they try so hard to fool the average person. The goldendoodle with their popularity has unfortunately made those who seek nothing more than monetary gains… to prey upon you.
And they will tell you what you want to hear. But if you can not go to their locations and see the parents and the puppies, in their own environment (Not in an outside tent of some sort) then that is a red flag.
If you see breeders who are dropping off puppies at various locations—like Quick trip or Home Depot, because that avoids visitations to their place of operation, then that is a red flag and if they take videos and hide the background of their location… that is yet another red flag.
So choose your breeder very carefully. Look for a hobby breeder that is small and lean and who has the best interest of the goldendoodle breed in their hearts seeking only to find the finest families to send them too.
Don’t let the Goldendoodle end up like so many breeds before them. They are as an adult as smart as a 5 year old child. They are too intelligent and full of love and kindness to end up in a kennel environment, used as nothing more than money machines..
Thank you.
